Comment: So - a successful launch party judging by the photos. Well done Diana! Best wishes for an equally successful sales campaign. A nice "literary" feel to this site by the way. |

Comment: Dear Diana Mitchener, I have been reading your poems with much pleasure; they are so varied and thought provoking. I particularly like My Lover's Birds, I am The House, and The Piano; and those that hint of darker emotions - At Sea, In Transit, Journeys, and Night Visions. Some poems I have read many times, others I shall come to later, but I just wanted to tell you how much I am enjoying your work. I do hope that you will continue, and wish you all success. Yours sincerely Isobel Prideaux (78 years) |

Comment: The poems in 'Corncockle' are full of colour. Diana makes use of a painter's palette to invoke a sense of place, making her settings immediate and memorable. She engages with nature - landscape, wildlife, gardens - to allow the reader to enter her emotional world by locating it in a context that illuminates. Her poems are truthful and pertinent. A good read. |
